Today you will traverse through fascinating spots that can be found one after another into the graceful Sham Valley. You will first come across the Hall of Fame which is a museum constructed by the Indian Army in the memory of the martyrs of the Indo-Pak war. Later we will visit Patthar Sahib Gurudwara which is constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak. You can also discover Magnetic Hill which is quite nearby Gurudwara. It is believed that the roads attract stationary vehicles upwards. ATV motorcycles are available for ride near Magnetic Hill. When you drive further, you will greet the enchanting Sangam; Indus and Zanskar river confluence. There you can take a delightful picture with the stunning Sangam at the backdrop. We will also visit Spituk monastery enroute. Spituk monastery was founded in the 11th century and it belongs to the Gelug (yellow hat) sect of Tibetan Buddhism. There is a museum that showcases a variety of ancient masks, antique arms and thangkas.

Today we will cruise through the wonders of Hundar which is located in Nubra Valley. We pass through Khardung La which is the world’s highest motorable pass to reach Hunder. It is located at an altitude of 5702 metres. At Hunder, you will rejoice in hiking around the sand dunes which is located 10 kms from Disket village. You can also opt for an ATV ride at the spot. You must not miss the opportunity to ride on Bactarian camels. On that note, you can also find a lot of sea-buckthorn with which the commonly known juice “Leh Berry” is produced. You will witness a bunch of beautiful lavender flowers. It is interesting to point out that Nubra Valley lies in the old Silk Route from south to Central Asia. This valley promises a long list of unique experiences and awaits your discovery.

After unfolding our adventures at Hundar, today we will travel towards Pangong Lake, which is the favourite destination of the wanderlust. The lake is around 165 km away from Hundar via Shyok and is located at the height of about 4350 metres. A climax from the popular movie 3 Idiots was shot at the location. The lake is serene and is mostly blue in colour. However, it changes its colour from green to red. You can have a glimpse of species like kiang, marmot, goose and more.

With the bundle of memories you will travel back to Leh via Changla pass. The pass is situated at an elevation of 17688 ft. On the way, we will visit Chemde monastery which is perched on a hilltop. The monastery was founded 400 years ago. Chemde festival is an important celebration of the monastery. We will also stop at Druk Padma Karpo and Thiksey monastery. A scene in the movie 3 idiots was shot in the school. The structure of Thiksey monastery has a resemblance to Potala Palace in Tibet. A statue of Maitreya Buddha, which is the future Buddha can be found. Thiksey Gustor is celebrated in the courtyard of the monastery every year.
