Best time to Visit Nubra Valley & Pangong Lake
This tour can be embarked upon all year round, but the ideal time to visit is from May to October when temperatures in Ladakh are more moderate, the scenery is lush, and days are longer.

However, summertime may bring the occasional flood on the Shayok road caused by melting snow, which could last a few days. If the road is closed, a backup plan is to take the route from Nubra to Pangong via Leh.

Both Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake remain accessible even during winter months, as the army maintains the mountain passes of Khardung La and Chang La, clearing them of snow. However, if there is heavy snowfall, the passes might be temporarily closed for a few days, so it's recommended to keep some buffer time if you're planning to travel in winter.
